Adherence to Constitutional trichotomy imperative for good governance: Prime Minister.

ISLAMABAD, January 25, 2010 (Frontier Star ): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has emphasized that adherence to trichotomy as enunciated in the Constitution is imperative for good governance which alone could help resolve the challenges confronting the country. The Prime Minister expressed these views during his meeting with renowned Jurist Abdul Hafeez Pirzada whom he met here in his office for consultation on legal matters concerning the government. He reiterated governments resolve to extend due respect and regard to all the institutions of the state and express confidence that every institution would play its role in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution. Sources have informed that , while expressing his complete respect and trust in all institutions, stressed that all institutions should function within their respective ambit; whikle the renowned advocate , Abdul Hafeez Pirzada also advised the PM, on some important points. Sources have also informed that PM has brought it to notice of Abdul Hafez Pirzada that some elements were bracketing the detailed verdict of Supreme Court on NRO and recent issue of appointment of judges, despite the fact that two issues were poles apart; and the governemnt was working fully in accordance with constitutional and legal ambits
