Add a bit of fizz; Drink up!
SPRITZERS, spice and all things nice come in the shape of low alcohol and no alcohol brews from the Bottle Green Drinks Company.
There are two new spritzers in the Christmas collection with a proof reading of three per cent, blended with slightly sparkling spring water for a fresh festive fizz.
The Chardonnay with Elderflower, with its clean refreshing floral tones, should satisfy those who enjoy crisp white wine, while the Pinot Noir with Raspberry is more for red wine fans.
They sell at around pounds 2.49.
When it comes to keeping out the cold, try some of the re-launched, Spiced Berry Cordial warmed as a non-alcoholic alternative to mulled wine.
Made from the juices of blackcurrant and other berries and mixed with natural extracts of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, orange and lemon, it should do nicely to wash down the mince pies.
Or it can be mixed with three parts red wine to add spicy flavours to a more traditional mulled wine.
The cordial costs around pounds 2.29.
For something fruity, but with more of a kick, Tropicana has created Vodka Swizzle using its pink grapefruit juice.
To make one cocktail place a sugar lump in a cocktail shaker and shake in four dashes of Angostura bitters.
Add two measures of vodka, one measure of grenadine and six measures of pink grapefruit juice and shake until blended.
Pour into a highball glass, top up with soda water and serve with a sugar swizzle stick.
For a non-alcoholic party fizz, pour pink grapefruit juice over crushed ice and top up with sparkling lemonade.
Stir and serve.
