Ad firm wraps up leasing at Mendik's 1740 Broadway.

In a major expansion arranged by Newmark Real Estate Services, William Douglas McAdams, Inc., one of the nation's largest pharmaceutical advertising agencies, is moving its corporate headquarters to the entire fourth and fifth floors of 1740 Broadway in Manhattan, comprising nearly 63,000 square feet of space.

1740 Broadway, which is now 100 percent occupied is a 560,000-square-foot building owned by The Mendik Company and three investment groups that are advised by UBS Asset Management (New York) Inc.

Barry Gosin, president, William G. Cohen, executive vice president, and Scott Klau, associate director, of Newmark Real Estate Services were the exclusive representatives for William Douglas McAdams in the 15-year leasing transaction, which has an aggregate rental of approximately $35 million. The Mendik Company, which acts as Managing Partner for the Partnership that owns the Building, was represented by Kevin R. Wang, senior vice president. William Douglas McAdams plans to relocate to 1740 Broadway in January.
