Acuity Brands Expands LED Outdoor Pedestrian Application Product Portfolio.

Lighting solutions emphasize quality of light, energy-efficiency and safety

ATLANTA -- Acuity Brands, Inc. (NYSE: AYI, "Company"), a market leader in innovative energy-efficient lighting and control solutions, continues announcements of a major expansion of its outdoor LED lighting portfolio. Offered under Acuity Brands[R] LED Outdoor, the portfolio includes solutions from six of the Company's leading lighting solutions brands, Lithonia Lighting[R], Hydrel[R], Tersen[R], American Electric Lighting[R], Antique Street Lamps[TM] and Winona Lighting[R].

New to the Company's WALK application family of products, which include luminaires for pedestrian, site, building and bollard lighting, are the Tersen Ratio[TM] 1.5 luminaire with a clamshell pole base and the American Electric Lighting AVPL luminaire. Each is optimally designed for unique walkway environments.

The Tersen Ratio 1.5 with a clamshell pole base is a LED luminaire of contemporary architectural styling designed for easy installation with existing poles, which allows for reduced up-front cost. Its "finned" design serves as a heat sink and creates an architectural statement. The American Electric Lighting AVPL is ideal for use in municipal walkway and residential street applications, meeting the requirements of smart-looking, energy-efficient luminaires with an electrical terminal block and ease-of-maintenance tool-less entry.

Various models in the Acuity Brands LED Outdoor WALK application family are compatible with the Acuity Brands ROAM[R] system, the Company's industry-leading intelligent control solution, combining photo-control technology with wireless monitoring and control capabilities. Working together, LED lighting and intelligent control systems provide an integrated outdoor lighting solution enabling additional energy savings from day one. Acuity Brands LED Outdoor adheres to IES standards for all applications, enabling maximum visibility. All luminaires in the WALK application family incorporate Acuity Brands' philosophy of providing the highest quality lighting solutions, while minimizing light pollution by putting light on task not toward the sky.
