Actuality Media goes Dutch with new contract; MEDIA AND MARKETING.

Birmingham-based PR and online specialist Actuality Media has picked up a contract to supply English language web content for a major Dutch company.

The work is part of an online overhaul for the Ahold group, which has retail operations in the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Central Europe and the US.

Actuality will be supporting the creation of an online media centre, as well as supplying copy for online investor relations.

Actuality Media director Mik Barton said: "Ahold companies like Albert Heijn are household names in other European countries - roughly equivalent to our Boots or Waitrose - so this is an important slice of business for us."

Actuality will be working through its Amsterdam-based partner company and Mr Barton believes this could lead to future business wins after also being approached by a new Franco-Dutch company to work on another web-based project.

"Jointly we have substantial web experience, while Actuality Media adds extra journalism and PR skills to the mix. Our English language ability is also a very important plus for mainland European clients," he said.
