Actor injured; ACCIDENT.

Actor Kris Marshall is likely to be out of hospital in the next couple of days after sustaining a head injury in an accident, his spokeswoman said yesterday.

The 35-year-old television star was on a night out in Bristol city centre on Saturday when he was hit by a car.

He was taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary where a scan revealed his injuries were not life-threatening.

A spokeswoman for Mr Marshall, who rose to fame in sitcom My Family and who appears in BT adverts, said he was in a stable condition.

A police spokesman said: "Police spoke to the driver of the car involved. He stopped immediately after the collision and we are looking into how it happened. He was not a drink driver."
