Actor's love for dogs is plane to see.

PET-LOVING panto star John is so in love with his dogs that he flies them between his homes in London and Hollywood.

The Torchwood actor regularly shells out thousands of pounds on airfares to LA for his three pooches Harris, Charlie and Captain Jack.

John admits he only feels comfortable when surrounded by his four-legged friends.

The talented singer, who is the face of Virgin Atlantic's pet service, says not even the sky is the limit when it comes to his furry pals.

In the promotional video for the airline, John - who was born in Glasgow - said: "The cost of regularly taking Charlie, Harris and Captain Jack on location to Hollywood is worth it.

"There is nothing better than coming home to the unconditional love of a dog."

The Desperate Housewives star, who is patron of the Dogs Trust, added: "Charlie is a golden cocker spaniel who sits with his paws crossed, Harris is a boisterous, young, black cocker spaniel and Captain Jack is a Jack Russell thug."
