Activity club for men.

TWO new activity groups have been set up for men in Gateshead.

'Woodfellas' is a new group launched by Age UK Gateshead for men interested in woodworking and gardening which will meet every Wednesday at Gateshead Central Library from November 7. The group will work with experienced woodcraftsmen to make wooden planters and help develop the library's community garden.

And for those who enjoy a board game, a new men's games group - including dominoes, chess, card games and scrabble - is meeting every Monday from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the Birtley Community Hub.

For information on both groups, call Trudi or Clare on 0191 477 3559.
