Activities in store during cycle Tour.
Last year's Tour of Britain A HOST of free activities for the whole family will be taking place in and around Denbigh as the town gears up to welcome the start of the prestigious Tour of Britain to the county in early September.
Denbigh will host the ceremonial start of stage four on Wednesday, September 7 with cyclists making their way to Builth Wells.
The day will be the longest of all the stages and will also see cyclists tackle the most climbing, with a total ascent of 4,133m, as they feel the force of the Welsh mountains with the stage heading through the Clwydian Hills and Cambrian Mountains.
Denbighshire Council has arranged a host of activities at the start of the race, to entertain the crowds and to promote cycling and well-being related activities.
Activities will be held at Crown Square, Denbigh from 9am on the morning of the race (or in the Town Hall if the weather is not good).
There will be a Watt bike challenge, bike safe marking, face painting, toddler bike area, spinning bikes and more.
