Activist set to visit Bahrain.

A FILIPINO child rights activist will visit Bahrain this week to thank people for supporting the Luzon-based social welfare organisation Bantay Bata.

Director Tina Monzon-Palma will update the community about its programmes, which help to rehabilitate sick and abused youngsters.

Bantay Bata is a major organisation in Quezon City that provides shelter, therapy and care for rescued children until they can be reunited with their families or child care agencies.

It also offers training and advocacy on child abuse prevention, the rehabilitation of families in crisis, education scholarships, livelihood, community outreach and medical and dental missions.

Friday's event will take place at the InterContinental Regency Bahrain and all are welcome to attend.
