Acme Packet (Nasdaq:APKT), a provider of session border control solutions, announced on Thursday (7 August) that Korea Telecom (KT), an integrated wired and wireless communications service provider based in Korea, has selected Acme Packet Net-Net session border controllers (SBCs) for its international VoIP peering service. Acme Packet's Net-Net SBCs are reportedly currently deployed to support five VoIP and IMS projects at KT.
The company said that KT uses Acme Packet SBCs to support its residential and business VoIP services and domestic VoIP interconnects.
KT is using the Net-Net Session Director, deployed in KT's international switching centre in Seoul, to securely interconnect with over 30 domestic and international service providers.
Financial details were not available.
