Accolades for Top Ad Moms; Honors For Balancing Work And Advertising Career Bestowed By AWNY And Working Mother Magazine.

NEW YORK -- What does it take to succeed as a working mother in a high-stress, fast-paced business? To find the answers, look no further than the new list of Advertising Working Mothers of the Year, released today by the Advertising Women of New York (AWNY) and Working Mother magazine, which will celebrate the accomplishments of these exceptional women at a luncheon in New York City on November 18th.

"Working mothers take a lot of flak in the press, but the fact that over a hundred nominations poured in for a stunning array of successful women in the advertising field - women who have full and rewarding personal and professional lives - this is a true testament to how well we actually are doing," says Carol Evans, president of AWNY, mother of two teenagers, and CEO of Working Mother Media.

This new award honors women at all career stages who are playing a pivotal role in the dynamic, creative and lucrative field of advertising, according to Evans. "Our winners represent the cream of the crop: Trailblazers who've paved the way for the current generation of working mothers, Established Moms who've served as the backbone of the industry for 25 years, and Up & Comers, strong role models who are changing how companies do business. We believe it's time these working moms received recognition for their achievements."

The culmination of the Working Mother magazine's yearlong 25th anniversary celebration, the Advertising Working Mother of the Year awards tout these top moms in all areas of the ad world. And, while these women come from different corners of the industry, according to Evans, they all share a common trait: the great joy of being a working mother.
