Accolade for North Museum.

THE Great North Museum has been given a highly commended accolade at the World Architecture Festival Awards.

The museum, in Newcastle, was designed by The Farrell Partnership and was awarded Highly Commended for the best interior by the World Architecture Festival (WAF), at the Centre Convencions Internacional Barcelona on November 6. The project involved the redesign of the Grade II-listed building to create a new public space and museum.

The WAF Awards involve shortlisted architects presenting their projects live to the public and an international judging panel.
