REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. and IRVINE, Calif. -- Access360, a leading provider of policy-based provisioning solutions, today announced that it is working with Oracle to provide a comprehensive identity management solution delivered through Oracle9i Application Server (Oracle9iAS) and Access360's user provisioning solution support for over 70 applications and systems.

"Access360's enRole extends Oracle9i Application Server provisioning to a wide variety of enterprise applications and systems including operating systems, telecom equipment and remote access servers," said Bill Maimone, vice president, Server Platform Technology at Oracle. "This is an attractive solution for companies looking to reduce administration costs by leveraging the security and scalability of the Oracle9iAS directory throughout a corporation."

"Maintaining the identity of individuals and granting access rights to enterprise resources is increasingly difficult in today's evolving business environment," said Paul Gigg, president and CEO of Access360. "We are very excited about this relationship with Oracle, as it will enable us to extend the value to the leading e-business application suite. We recognize the demands of Oracle customers. They need the flexibility to provision within departments and across the enterprise, the scalability to work inside and outside of the firewall while lowering the cost of doing business. We believe this relationship meets these requirements using the strength of both products."

The Internet directory in Oracle9iAS enables aggregation of disparate user identity information and can be extended to actually add, delete and modify access rights to IT resources. The strength of Access360's true enterprise-provisioning software and Oracle9iAS is currently leveraged by large financial, manufacturing and government agencies around the world.

Oracle's extensive investment in application server research and development has enabled the company to deliver a lightweight J2EE engine and extended caching capabilities that allow companies to save on infrastructure costs by scaling with software instead of hardware.
