Access road contract award

Avery Construction Ltd. of Sault Ste. Marie has been awarded a $2.3-million contract by the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines for work on the Goudreau Access Road north of Wawa.

The work, part of a $4.5-million project, includes the grading and placement of crushed gravel for the final nine kilometres of the road. The access road will link Wawa via Highways 17 and 519 through Dubreuilville to the Magino and Kremzar mines.

The construction is scheduled to be completed early this fall.
