Access Beyond, Inc. Enters Into Strategic Alliance and OEM Relationship With Hayes Microcomputer Products, Inc.

GAITHERSBURG, Md., Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Access Beyond, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACCB) announced today that it has entered into a multi-level strategic alliance with Hayes Microcomputer Products, Inc., a leading communications equipment manufacturer. This strategic alliance includes a new OEM relationship, as well as joint research and development and manufacturing programs.

Access Beyond is targeting the sale of its products at the corporate remote access market, a market that International Data Corporation (IDC) is projecting to grow from $1 billion this year to over $2 billion by the year 2000. Through this new relationship, the Company expects to substantially broaden its product distribution to its target market as well as to high-end customers including Internet Service Providers (ISP) and Telephone Companies (Telco), a total market which IDC projects will reach $8 billion by the year 2000.

The companies will also join forces in many areas of product development.
