Accepting applications for ACEI's chapter recognition awards.

The Chapter Recognition Awards recognize those Chapters that significantly advance and enhance the purposes of ACEI; achieve membership development through excellent programs, activities, and events; increase membership; establish consistent communications; and exhibit strong governance,

Who Is Eligible?

All ACEI Chapters that have been organized for at least two years, are in good standing, and have an active membership are eligible. The only exception is the "Best New Chapter Award" submission.

Submissions need to be received at ACEI Headquarters by January 21, 2011. Chapter applications must reflect work performed and/or created between January 1-December 31, 2010.

Submit two copies of each entry via mail (no faxes) to:

Chapters are encouraged to showcase their achievements for the following awards:

Best New Chapter

Best Professional Development

Best Global Focus

Best Communications/Public Relations

Best Community Service

Student Chapter Leaders--Don't forget to recognize your outstanding faculty adviser for the Adviser of the Year Award. This award is based on a faculty adviser's outstanding service to a student chapter through dedication and creative chapter guidance, effective motivation, supportive chapter advocacy and representation within the field of childhood education, and encouragement of professional attitudes and development of emerging educators. The award is presented during the ACEI Annual Conference, and the winning adviser will receive a commemorative plaque and a one-year ACEI professional membership. The student chapter will receive a $300 cash award. Nomination guidelines and recommendation forms are available online at aboutacei-chapters/awards-and-grants/adviser-of-the-year/.
