Accent Equity Partners acquires ScandBook AB.
The Swedish private equity investment advisor Accent Equity Partners said on Wednesday (27 September) that it has agreed to acquire Swedish book producer ScandBook AB from the Danish paperbacks producer Norhaven A/S.
The acquisition price was not disclosed.
ScandBook is the Nordic region's leading producer of hard cover black-and-white (monochrome) books with a 65% market share in Sweden and a 35% overall market share in the Nordic countries. The company has 130 employees at printing houses in Falun and Smedjebacken in Sweden, and reported a turnover of approximately SEK200m in 2005.
For Norhaven the transaction is part of its strategy to focus on paperbacks. The company is one of Europe's leading paperback producers.
