Accelerated Technology and I-Logix Decrease Time-to-Market With Established Embedded RTOS and Visual Programming Technology.

Nucleus Adapter for Visual Programming Environment Gives Developers a Seamless

Process for Getting Their Product to Market Quickly

MOBILE, Ala., Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ --

Accelerated Technology, Inc. (ATI), the leader of source code and non-royalty based Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) software, and I-Logix, a leading provider of enterprise solutions for embedded applications development, have formed a strategic partnership in order to provide Nucleus developers with a visual programming environment specifically targeted for the Nucleus RTOS ( ). This partnership will provide mutual customers with the management of complex applications and the reduction of time-to-market, which is so critical in embedded systems development. Accelerated Technology and I-Logix will provide an optimized Visual Programming Environment and RTOS adapter so that Nucleus, users may utilize the Rhapsody application development environment to create real-time embedded applications.

Engineers developing an application with the robust Nucleus software and the Rhapsody environment will benefit from the direct code access and editing capabilities of Rhapsody, combined with the high performance Nucleus RTOS. With this integration, real-time embedded software developers can take advantage of the standard Unified Modeling Language (UML) notation with Rhapsody, to analyze, design, document and generate production quality code for Nucleus-enabled applications. With the Rhapsody visual programming environment, developers will be able to quickly generate high-quality, real-time applications specifically targeted for Nucleus.

"Accelerated Technology continues to participate in exciting technologies that are rapidly emerging in the embedded marketplace. In recent times, the design tool industry has grown in leaps and bounds and I-Logix is leading the pack. We are happy to be involved with them, bringing the sophisticated and highly productive Rhapsody solution to bear on our mutual customer's development," said Neil Henderson, president, Accelerated Technology, Inc.

Neeraj Chandra, senior vice president of Marketing and Corporate Development for I-Logix, said, "By providing a highly efficient adapter to Nucleus, embedded developers using Rhapsody can easily take advantage of this thin and robust RTOS to build the next generation of pervasive computing devices. The integration of the two products allows developers to more easily meet the increasing time and budget constraints demanded by the explosion of this new class of devices."
