AcceleRAIT Goes Western.
The system's data transfer rate allows the creation of five copies at a pass. The new products 5.25-inch inch module easily integrates into standard RAID enclosures and tape Library systems. The product offers arraying features similar to RAID striping, mirroring, and parity or drive redundancy.
"One of the AcceleRAIT's benefits is that it allows multiple copies to be made simultaneously without tying up the resources of a workstation," said Mike Powell, vice president of sales for Western Scientific.
Base system starts at $14,900.
