Aby days as duo dominate.
Saturday night brought two of the MMA academy athletes representing the gym to the FCC show at the Bolton Macron Stadium.
First up was Mark Kinsella who took on opponent Bence Nyiri from Sukata MMA for the number one contenders spot for the welterweight title.
Kinsella displayed dominant striking on the back foot countering his opponent and utilising a strong clinch game up against the fence.
He took the fight to the ground and landed strikes from his opponents guard.
He was looking for the pass but his opponent had a tricky guard.
rounds two and three were more of the same with Kinsella on top, landing vicious strikes.
the result was a unanimous decision in favour of Kinsella which sees him take on Chris Senior for the welterweight title.
com the win takes Kinsella to 4-0 and was the second fight in three weeks after he had defeated FCPC fighter Phil Woods at Shinobi War 4. Next up was aaron aby taking on Ben dearden from Hamma.
the fight started out with both fighters exchanging strikes, feeling each other out.
aby caught a kick and timed a beautiful takedown.
From there he rained down some brutal ground and pound throughout the round.
He maintained good control of his opponent landing hard punches and elbows repeatedly until the referee was forced to stop the bout at the end of the first round.
It was a very professional contest from aby, showing real class dominating his opponent from the bell.
Both fighters showed real dominance in both fights which is a testament to the training they receive at the MMA cademy.
