ABU DHABI: There was a twist in the rape and murder case of the 11-year-old boy in Abu Dhabi, when the defense lawyer told the court that the accused cannot commit such a heinous crime and that the suspect would have been psychologically unfit at the time of crime.
The defence asked the court to grant permission to conduct mental and physical examinations of the accused. The court, however, granted permission for psychological evaluation.

The boy, Azan Majid Janjua, went missing in June and later his body was found on the rooftop of the residential building.
Meanwhile, parents of the 11-year-old boy, who was brutally raped and murdered in Abu Dhabi, were present in the court and demanded the court to grant death penalty for the perpetrator.
The boy's father is a Pakistani and mother a Russian. The mother, who used to visit her son in Abu Dhabi, was in the city when the tragedy occurred.
