Absentee voting.

If you can't attend the convention in Pittsburgh or have to leave before the membership meeting, you can still vote for secretary and board members. To vote on the 2005 convention site, you must be at the convention membership meeting.

Absentee ballots can be obtained by a request in writing to National Conference of Editorial Writers, 6223 Executive Boulevard, Rockville MD 20852. A ballot will be mailed to you. To be counted, the ballot must be postmarked by Saturday, September 1.

Members who plan to attend the Pittsburgh convention but must leave early can obtain absentee ballots from the convention registration table. To be counted, those ballots must be returned by 6 p.m. Friday, September 14.

For more information about voting procedures, call NCEW headquarters at 301/984-3015 or e-mail ncewhqs@erols.com
