AbriaSoft releases secure web server for Windows and Linux.
The open source software provider AbriaSoft has unveiled Lancelot, an Apache-based web server for Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms.
Designed to provide the scalability, reliability, security and performance needed by mission-critical e-commerce sites, Lancelot is a secure commercial grade SSL web server with 128-bit encryption. Support for server side scripting is provided in the form of a Perl module and the product also supports easy scripted access to many databases.
Other features include support for bandwidth control and FrontPage extensions.
Lancelot is available at AbriaSoft's web site at http://www.abriasoft.com. Pricing was not revealed.
