About the awards.

FOR the last two years, the creme de la creme of Scottish fashion have descended on Stirling Castle for the Scottish Fashion Awards.

Founded by PR guru Tessa Hartmann, the event has become the highlight of the country's fashion calendar, attracting top designers, models and celebrities.

This year's third extravaganza is being staged on Sunday, June 29 at Stirling Castle.

It will be hosted by TV presenter and fashion journalist Louise Roe and awards will be given out for Designer of the Year, Retailer of the Year and Accessory of the Year.

Judges include Editor of Dolly Jones, Daily Telegraph fashion editor Hilary Jones, Head of Couture at Vivienne Westwood Brigitte Stepputtis, fashion icon Daphne Guinness and the founder and producer of Los Angeles Fashion Awards Jennifer Uner.

Tessa said: "During the last three years, there have been some amazing Scottish successes, who have been recognised in the international fashion arena from their fashion peers and indeed the commercial market place.

"Our objective with these awards is to recognise and applaud their contribution to the world of fashion and I am thrilled we have continued to do that.

"As an event, we see it as our role to champion individuality, quality, style and, most importantly, the 'Scottishness' these talented individuals and companies possess.

"The achievements of the designers, cashmere houses, stylists, writers and photographers continues to impress our judging panel and we also take credit for acknowledging fashion's future stars with our new talent category."
