Abel Tool purchases Royal Machine Products.

Royal Machine Products, Inc, manufacturer of Daisy stock waterers, has been bought by Abel Tool Co, Davenport, IA, the parent company of Royal Machine and Foundries.

Under the new name of Daisy, Inc, production of the stock waterers will move from Ataiissa, IA, to Davenport. Although they will share some facilities, Royal Machine and Daisy, Inc will be separate operations, said Abel Tool owner Don Abel.

Royal Machine and Foundries, which was bought by Abel five years ago, had provided castings for Daisy. With annual revenues of about $4 million, Royal Machine and Foundries also produces castings and does machining for other companies. One of its newly found niches is difficult-to-make parts, such as rotor fans for cotton pickers and other applications.
