Abbottabad Commission findings to be public soon: Naveed Qamar.

ISLAMABAD -- Defense Minister Syed Naveed Qamar has said that Abbottabad Commission findings will be made public in due time.

In his recent interview to Voice of Germany (VoG), while referring to death of Osama bin Laden, he said that security measures and issues entailed an appropriate time, and hence the findings of Abbottabad commission were also subject to such procedurals.

He also expressed satisfaction regarding relationship with Afghanistan, stating that tensions with neighboring Islamic country during Musharraf's regime were headed towards betterment.

Accepting the presence of Taliban presence in Afghanistan, he said that talks with many (factions) of them were underway regarding NATO and ISAF, while stability would only come with advent and evolution of democracy there.

Replying to a question about the change in strategy doctrine of Pakistan Army, the defense minister termed the doctrine as a ground reality, since internal dangers did exist and have to be accepted at all costs.

"Terrorism is happening and we should be ready for quelling it", he affirmed, adding that since the issue pertained to Western borders, it had to be looked into.

He also resolved that any interference by Army in political affairs had been blocked forever, while after transfer of political power after fast approaching general elections, this chapter would be buried for good.
