Abadi: Iraq Is Able To Rise And Become In The Ranks Of Developed Countries.
BAGHDAD, IRAQ (NINA) - Iraq is capable of rising to the ranks of the developed countries with the unity and will of our people, which has managed to achieve the impossible and defeat the terrorist Daesh gang in the most difficult circumstances, Prime Minister said.
During his attendance to the central ceremony held by the General Secretariat of the Kadhimiya Shrine in the presence of the representative of the supreme religious authority and its dependents in Baghdad and a large gathering of the families of the martyrs, the wounded and the citizens on the occasion of the great Iraqi victor, Abadi saluted the fatwa of Jihad launched by Sayyid al-Sistani and the heroic rush of the Iraqis and their great response to this historic fatwa and volunteering to defend their homeland and their sanctities. "
He added that the martyrs and the wounded are our pride and taking care of their families is our duty. We reiterate our congratulations to them and to all Iraqis on liberating our land and cities and defeating the terrorist gang, calling for preserving the victory achieved by uniting the army, the popular mobilization, Peshmerga and various types of our armed forces. .
"Four years ago, Daesh was on the outskirts of Baghdad and was bombing civilians in residential neighborhoods, but our heroine forces reached the farthest point of the border. We liberated all our lands and cities. We won politically by adhering to the constitution and the unity of Iraq and not discriminating among our people," he warned from listening to the sounds of indignation that were skeptical of victory and not allowing them to turn us back./ End
