Ab Fab star rules out Idris as next Bond.

Byline: JESSICA GIBB

ACTRESS Joanna Lumley has weighed in on who should be the next James Bond - and she doesn't think it's Idris Elba.

The Absolutely Fabulous star, 71, who had a minor role in Bond classic On Her Majesty's Secret Service in 1969, admitted she doesn't think the British actor is right for the role.

She told Radio Times: "Idris Elba is stunning - and was incidentally in Absolutely Fabulous - but I don't think he is right for Bond, who is quite clearly described in the book.

"I'm colour-blind when it comes to acting but Idris Elba is just a zonking great star anyway."

Idris is tipped to take over as 007 after Daniel Craig bows out but Tom Hardy and Tom Hiddleston may also be in the running.
