Aaron's out for payback; ATHLONE v DUNDALK.

AFTER back to back defeats, Athlone Town manager Aaron Callagahan is confident his side can bounce back by claiming three points against Dundalk tonight (7.45).

"It's important that we get back to winning ways," said Callaghan. "I didn't think we played that badly against Kildare in the league. We just have to iron out those few little mistakes."

Dundalk's poor start to the season resulted in the resignation of Trevor Anderson but Callaghan is taking nothing for granted.

"They have had a similar start to us really.

"They've had a change in manager obviously, and sometimes that goes against you, but sometimes that can galvanise you as well."

Town will be without Anthony Fennelly and Alan Kelly with Des Hope and Stephen Kelly both rated doubtful.

Callaghan will watch the match from the stands as he serves a one-match touchline ban.

Paul Curran will continue as Dundalk's interim boss until a permanent successor to Anderson is found.

HOPE: Aaron
