 AZTAR REPORTS CHANGE AT TOP
 PHOENIX, Feb. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Aztar Corp. (NASDAQ-NMS: AZTR)


announced that Richard Snell is stepping down as chairman of the board, effective today, and is being succeeded by Paul E. Rubeli, who continues as president and chief executive officer. Snell remains on the board of directors.
 Aztar also announced the appointment of John B. Bohle to the board of directors. The appointment is subject to approval by appropriate state gaming authorities.
 Snell, who is 61 years old, became chairman and chief executive officer of Aztar when it was formed in December 1989 in the restructuring of Ramada Inc., of which he had been chairman, president and chief executive officer. Snell resigned the Aztar chief executive officer position in February 1990, when he became chairman of Pinnacle West Capital Corp. Rubeli assumed Aztar's chief executive officer responsibilities at that time.
 Rubeli, who is 48 years old, joined the company in 1979 and headed the Ramada Gaming Group before becoming president of Aztar.
 Bohle, who is 48, is a senior vice president and a member of the board of directors of Paul R. Ray & Company, Inc., and has more than 18 years of experience in executive recruiting, including 16 years with Paul R. Ray & Co.
 Aztar Corp. is a publicly held casino gaming company that operates TropWorld Casino and Entertainment Resort in Atlantic City, N.J., the Tropicana Resort and Casino, Las Vegas and the Ramada Express Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, Nev.
