 AWT SUBSIDIARY AWARDED CONTRACT FOR CONTINUED
 OPERATIONS OF WASTEWATER PLANT
 BRANCHBURG, N.J., Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Metcalf & Eddy, a subsidiary of Air & Water Technologies Corporation (AMEX: AWT), has been awarded a $6.5 million, five-year contract extending into 1997 with the city of Bremertown, Wash., for continued operations of its wastewaster treatment plant (WWTP).
 Metcalf & Eddy has operated the 10-mgd WWTP for the city of Bremerton since 1987. Treatment facilities include 31 pump stations and 10 combined sewer overflows. Currently, treatment combines a number of processes including primary clarification, high-rate activated sludge treatment, chlorination, centrifuge sludge dewatering, anaerobic digestion, and a silvaculture land application program. The facility has 14 full-time employees to monitor and control all operations, maintenance and laboratory investigations.
