 AWT SUBSIDIARY AWARDED $25 MILLION CONTRACT
 WITH AIR FORCE CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EXCELLENCE
 BRANCHBURG, N.J., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Metcalf & Eddy, a subsidiary of Air & Water Technologies Corporation (AMEX: AWT), was recently awarded a three-year, $25 million delivery order contract with the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE), Brooks Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, to provide environmental remediation at bases throughout the United States and U.S. territories.
 Under the agreement, Metcalf & Eddy will remediate both above- and below-ground tanks, drums, pipelines, and incidental waste materials, including residual liquids, sludges, and contaminated soils. A significant amount of the contract work will take place on Air Force bases scheduled for closure under a Department of Defense reorganization plan.
