Kenneth Freundlich, PhD, managing partner of Morris Psychological Group in Parsippany, N.J., has been awarded 2018 psychologist of the year by the New Jersey Psychological Association.
Rosecrance announced it has received a grant for nearly $30,000 from the United Way of Greater McHenry County. The funds will support Rosecrance McHenry programs, including drug and alcohol counseling as well as family and individual counseling.
Karen Wolownik Albert, executive director of Gateway Foundation Lake Villa, is the 2018 recipient of the Dr. C. Vincent Bakeman Memorial Award, given each year to a noteworthy Illinois leader fighting substance abuse.
CarePlus has been awarded two grants from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services administration. A $2 million grant over five years will support trauma services for children, adolescents and families in Bergen County, N.J. Separately, CarePlus and two other New Jersey Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics were awarded $4 million over two years to support the expansion of CCBHC services in Bergen County.
