 AUTOMOTIVE PRESS ASSOCIATION INVITES MEDIA TO RICHARD PETTY SALUTE;
 PONTIAC PROVIDES ONE-OF-A-KIND TEST DRIVE OPPORTUNITY
 On Wednesday, Aug. 12, local media are invited to join members of the Detroit Automotive Press Association (APA) in saluting the most celebrated driver in the history of American motorsports, NASCAR racing legend, "The King" Richard Petty.
 As part of its August APA program, Richard Petty will be available, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., to meet with media.
 In addition, Pontiac Division -- the co-host for the event -- is supplying a number of special one-of-a-kind "toys" for media to test drive on the 1.2-mile road course, which is located 1/2 mile south of I-75 off Sashabaw Road in Waterford.
 Because of other commitments that afternoon, Petty will have to depart at 1 p.m. However, through 2 p.m., you'll have a chance to test your skill level on the track and meet with members of the Pontiac Engineering and Public Relations teams.
 NOTE: A map is available through CONTACT: Reg Harris or Randy Fox of Pontiac, 313-857-1572.
