 ELECTED TO MORRISON KNUDSEN BOARD OF DIRECTORS
 BOISE, Idaho, Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Lindsay Edward Fox, a prominent Australian businessman, was elected to the board of directors of Morrison Knudsen Corp. (MK) (NYSE: MRN) during a board meeting today, MK announced. He was elected to a class of directors who will stand for re-election by the corporation's stockholders at the company's annual meeting in April.
 Fox is chairman of the Melbourne-based Linfox Group, one of the largest trucking and warehousing groups in Australia, and his election to the MK board is a major step in the company's international expansion.
 "Lindsay Fox has distinguished himself both in business and community affairs in an area of the world where we see vast potential for MK," said William J. Agee, the company's chairman and chief executive officer. "His participation on the board will play a significant role in the success of MK in Australia, New Zealand and other countries of the Pacific Rim."
 Fox purchased his first truck at the age of 16 and today the Linfox Group of companies, with annual revenues in excess of $400 million, employs approximately 5,000 people and operates a fleet of more than 3,500 vehicles. The group also has developed and manages 13 distribution complexes in Australia and New Zealand.
 Fox is an outside director of three Australian firms and Continental Airline Holdings Inc. in the United States. He also is a member of the World Business Council and is active in several charitable organizations.
 Because of his contributions to the transport industry and to community affairs, he recently was recognized with The Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) award.
