AUDIOSCIENCE ANNOUNCES TWO VICE PRESIDENT PROMOTIONS
 MINNETONKA, Minn., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- AudioScience

(NASDAQ: AUDS) today announced the promotions of Thomas A. Powers Ph.D. to the position of vice president of professional relations and H. Terrance Ross to the position of vice president of sales and marketing.
As vice president of professional relations, Powers will be responsible for product investigation and studies with leading universities, clinics and practitioners; he will be the official corporate lecturer and spokesperson at seminars, association meetings, symposia and special events; he will be a member of the New Product Evaluation Board; and he will chair the corporate Scientific Advisory Board. Powers was previously the director of sales.
As vice president of sales and marketing, Ross will be responsible for all planning, direction and control of both the marketing of the corporation's products and services, and the thirty-plus-person field sales force; and he will be a member of the New Product Evaluation Board. Ross had been functioning as director of marketing.
AudioScience, Inc. has developed, and will shortly manufacture and market, programmable, remote-controlled hearing aids under the PRIZM(TM) trade name and will focus future efforts on medical devices for audiology, otolaryngology and the hearing enhancement market.
The PRIZM Hearing System consists of a hearing aid and a dual purpose remote control module. With the remote control module, the user can adjust volume of the hearing aid and set it for the appropriate listening environment from a selection of ten custom programs. The remote control module, with the insertion of a key by the audiologist, becomes the programming device for the audiologist by means of which the customer's hearing aid can be customized to his or her particular hearing ability.
Douglas Jensen, president of AudioScience, Inc., said that providing a person with a PRIZM System would be like giving that person a set of ten personalized hearing aids, since the individual will have a selection of ten customized settings from which to choose for the particular listening environment encountered.
