AUDI SELECTS McKINNEY & SILVER AS NEW AD AGENCY

 AUBURN HILLS, Mich., July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Audi of America, Inc. today announced that it has selected McKinney & Silver, of Raleigh, N.C., to handle its advertising account.
 Audi began its search for a new advertising partner in March when it put its account up for review. Since 1969, the account was served by DDB Needham.
 McKinney & Silver was selected from a group of three finalists that included Carmichael Lynch, of Minneapolis, and Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, of Boston.
 "We saw three very strong strategic presentations. But McKinney & Silver demonstrated particularly impressive insights into the soul of our company, products and the Audi consumer," said Gerd Klauss, vice president in charge of Audi of America.
 "They were the consensus choice of the selection committee which included Audi dealers and zone staff," Klauss said.
 An independent, privately held agency, McKinney & Silver was founded in 1969 and had 1992 billings of $102 million.
