ATS Forms Alliance with NTT/Verio to Deliver Managed Technology Infrastructure Services to Federal, State, and Local Governments and Commercial Clients

Advanced Technology Systems, Inc. (ATS) today announced that it has been awarded a six-year, $9.1 million contract from the Federal Housing Finance Board (FHFB) to provide managed information technology (IT) infrastructure operations and services for the independent regulatory agency. The contract establishes ATS as FHFB's preferred vendor for mission-critical infrastructure outsourcing and managed IT services.

Initially, ATS will manage a phased migration of FHFB's IT infrastructure and operations to a separate facility in Sterling, Va., hosted by Verio, a subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation. With annual revenues in excess of $93 billion, NTT is the world's largest telecommunications company, significantly larger than its nearest competitor, and the only international telecom company with a double A rating by Moody's Investors Service and Standard & Poors.

"This partnership with ATS and Verio will provide the Finance Board with an information technology platform which is modern, forward-thinking, and positioned to support the business of the Agency," noted the Chief Information Officer at FHFB.

During the first year of the project, ATS will also lead the replacement and modernization of FHFB's end user workstations and peripheral equipment.

"ATS is delighted to be supporting FHFB and its mission to help twelve federal home loan banks finance our nation's urban and rural housing and community development needs," said Pete Spewak, ATS Senior Vice President of Business Development. "By delivering improved services more efficiently at a significant cost savings, ATS will be helping FHFB ensure the safe operation of the country's mortgage industry."

The FHFB project marks the beginning of a strategic relationship between ATS and Verio. The two companies will work together to provide federal, state, and local government and commercial customers with reliable and affordable application hosting, infrastructure support, and managed network services.

"ATS has 25 years of experience delivering high quality IT solutions and enterprise applications to federal governments, and we are excited to be working with them on this mission critical project at FHFB," said Isabel Ehringer, President of NTT/Verio Enterprise Hosting. "Together, Verio and ATS offer a compelling solution for federal, state, and local governments that want to outsource various IT infrastructure operations in order to maintain focus on their respective agency missions."

ATS will also be supported by TFE Technology, one of the ten largest third party network and hardware maintenance providers to Federal and State Government agencies, on the FHFB project.
