ATP hygiene monitoring.
The Ensure system with the Microsnap test devices can detect one Coliform or E.coli organism in 8 hours. This system uses the inherent metabolic profile of groups of bacteria to evaluate their growth rate enzymologically, leading to an enumeration of the starting innocula. The system uses a broth growth phase at a specified temperature to allow the bacteria to grow and develop to a sufficiently high number to allow the enumeration of the bacteria using specific enzymes. The enzymes are measured using a proprietary light generating substrate based upon traditional ATP bioluminescence.[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]
