ATM on midtown corners is Wachovia aim.

Wachovia Bank, N.A. announced the opening of its newest midtown financial center. The bank's fifth Midtown financial center opened at 299 Park Ave.

In addition, four new leases were signed for financial centers at 866 Third Ave., 731 Lexington Ave., 1345 Ave. of the Americas and 115 6 Ave. of the Americas.

The centers will open this year.

Wachovia also signed new leases to open remote ATM sites in the HBO building at Sixth Avenue and 42nd Street, the Helmsley building at 230 Park Ave. and at the Times Square subway station.

Wachovia plans to open 12 financial centers and 25 remote ATM sites in Manhattan by 2005.

Most of the financial centers will be located in midtown.
