ATLANTIC COAST AIRLINES TO BEGIN SERVICE TO PROVIDENCE ON OCT. 1;
 ALSO ADDS FLIGHT TO MANCHESTER SCHEDULE
 WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlantic Coast Airlines, which operates as United Express, announced today that it will begin service to Providence, R.I., and increase present frequency to Manchester, N.H., from their hub at Washington Dulles International Airport when the carrier's fall schedule takes effect on Oct. 1. In both cases, the United Express flights will complement the existing United Airlines schedule in the market.
 On Oct. 1, Atlantic Coast Airlines will begin operating one daily round trip to Providence, which will become the 41st city in the airline's destination network. The additional flight will be the fourth United Airlines/United Express round trip per business day to Rhode Island's capital city. Also on Oct. 1, in addition to United Airlines' three round trips, Atlantic Coast Airlines will increase to two the number of daily round trips the United Express carrier operates to Manchester from Washington Dulles. In both markets, Atlantic Coast Airlines will operate the new flights with the Embraer Brasilia 120, a state of the art, 30 passenger turboprop aircraft.
 Kerry Skeen, chief operating officer of Atlantic Coast Airlines, commenting on today's announcement, said: "Atlantic Coast Airlines now offers flights from Providence and Manchester that are timed to enable easy connections to United Airlines' expanding list of international destinations served non-stop from Washington Dulles. The addition of Providence to the growing list of cities served jointly by Atlantic Coast Airlines and United Airlines is further affirmation of the quality product that United Express provides to the consumer." Skeen added: "Today's announcement, increasing our level of complementary service with United Airlines, also demonstrates the strength of the partnership between our two companies."
 Atlantic Coast Airlines operates as United Express through a comprehensive marketing agreement with United Airlines. The two airlines coordinate flight schedules at their Washington Dulles International Airport hub to provide passengers with convenient connections to destinations across the country and around the world.
 Atlantic Coast Airlines operates a fleet of 34 modern turboprop aircraft -- 12 Embraer Brasilia 120s and 22 British Aerospace Jetstream 32s. At Washington Dulles, Atlantic Coast Airlines operates 114 daily departures, the most of any carrier, to 41 destinations. Systemwide, the airline operates 285 daily departures. For each flight on United Express, passengers receive 500 miles credit in United Airlines' popular Mileage Plus frequent flyer program.
 Atlantic Coast Airlines is a privately held company based in Sterling, Va.
