TECHNOLOGIES IN PRODUCT LINE
LARGO, Fla., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T Paradyne announced today that Atlantech Technologies Ltd. will incorporate AT&T Paradyne's transmission technologies into its digital subscriber loop transmission product line, which will enable telephone companies to provide new high- speed network services.
In addition to AT&T Paradyne's carrierless, amplitude and phase modulation (CAP) transport technology, the product line will utilize Atlantech's MegaModem transmission technology, which has been designed to enable high-speed digital services up to 2.048 Mbps using unconditioned, twisted-pair copper wire in the telephone network.
Atlantech, based in Chepstow, Wales, with development and manufacturing offices in Scotland, recently won an award from the United Kingdom's Department of Trade and Industry for its MegaModem product design. Atlantech will offer standalone and nest-mounted High-Rate Digital Subscriber Line (HDSL) products that are compliant with CCITT digital interface standards and have advanced maintenance capabilities, such as full-line speed redundancy, performance monitoring and software configuration control.
