 1992 CENTRAL DIVISION BARTENDER CHAMPIONSHIPS
 WHAT: 1992 Central Division "International Bartender
 Championships"
 WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 4, 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
 WHERE: T.G.I. Friday's on Roswell Road, Prado Shopping Center
 WHO: -- Nine bartenders from 14 states who have tossed and
 flipped their way to the championship in Atlanta
 -- Atlanta Hawks Head Coach Bob Weiss will serve as
 "Honorary Bartender," showing off his own bar and magic
 tricks
 COST: FREE TO THE PUBLIC
 FACTS: -- Proceeds raised at the event will benefit the Atlanta
 Cities in Schools program, a dropout prevention program
 operated by EXODUS, Inc. in partnership with the Atlanta
 Public Schools
 -- Friday's bartenders, who have a reputation
 as the best bartenders in the world, trained Tom Cruise for
 the movie Cocktail
 -- Competition includes compulsory and freestyle segments.
 Showmanship and flair (Friday's term for showmanship), as
 well as knowledge, accuracy and skill are judged.
 -- The winner of the event will move on to the
 International Bartender Championship next month in Dallas.
 While not exactly an Olympic event, Friday's Bartender Championship is definitely a sport of its own. Trickster and Atlanta Hawks Head Coach Bob Weiss will be on hand to evaluate performances and try some bottle-tossing antics of his own!
