ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX: ATY, NASDAQ: ATYT), executing on its strategy of enabling the broader market with leading-edge technologies, today introduced the RADEON(TM) 9000 and RADEON(TM) 9000 PRO, two new visual processors architected specially for mainstream users. They offer the most complete set of features and the highest performance in the mainstream market.

"ATI is pushing the industry and teaching customers that they don't have to settle for technology that is two generations old if they want an affordable solution," said Dr. Jon Peddie, President of Jon Peddie Research, the leading analyst firm in graphics and multimedia. "ATI is offering high-end features and performance at a mainstream price and surprising its competitors and the market with its price points."

The impressive list of features found in the RADEON 9000 and RADEON 9000 PRO include:
-- Quad-pipe architecture: Four parallel rendering pipelines to power the most challenging applications with amazing speed;

-- Programmable pixel and vertex shaders: SMARTSHADER(TM) technology takes advantage of the advanced new features in Microsoft(R) DirectX(R) 8.1 and means even the newest and most advanced 3D games will be fully supported;

-- Flexible multiple display architecture supported by HYDRAVISION(TM) ATI's desktop management software enabling productive and effective use of multiple displays; and

"The RADEON 9000 products feature technology innovations first introduced in the highest-end segment of the market less than 12 months ago, combined with the best performance of any mainstream graphics product. It is the only choice for mainstream gamers this year."
