ATHLETICS: Glory for Jones in battle of veterans.
Byline: GARETH HUGHESVETERAN Bernie Jones continued his good form with another victory in the Coedpoeth 4.2- mile multi -terrain race.
He beat fellow veteran Mike Weedall (Northern Vets)by 28 seconds, with his Wrexham clubmate Gary Norgrove third.

THE annual Welsh Castles Relay from Caernarfon to Cardiff was won by Salford, who finished the 20 stages a massive 73 minutes 27 seconds ahead of their nearest challengers,Les Croupiers, who organised the event.
In third place were the British Police team. Once again the veterans' prize went to Wirral AC.
In the unofficial North Wales Championship, Prestatyn got the better of Bro Dysynni,finishing in 31st and 41st places respectively.
This weekend several North Wales athletes will be hoping for medals at the Welsh track and field championships in the recently refurbished Cwmbran Stadium.
Even though most of the big- name individuals have come from the south, the northern clubs have dominated the Welsh Premier League in recent years.
On Sunday Prestatyn RC again stage the Eddie Faure Memorial 10k, which incorporates the North Wales championship and is also the final event in the North Wales Road-Running Grand Prix. Before the main race there will be a 1,500-metre fun-run.
