ATHLETICS: Dwain impresses.

DWAIN CHAMBERS is 10-1 to strike gold at the World Championships in Valencia next month after winning the 60m at the World Indoor trials in Sheffield yesterday.

Chambers claimed first place in 6.56 seconds and should secure the automatic berth when the first wave of selections are announced by UK Athletics tomorrow.

Simeon Williamson finished second in 6.61secs, while European Indoor silver medallist Craig Pickering was fifth.

Hills - to win gold at World Championship (Valencia, March 7-9): 10 D Chambers, C Pickering, 25 S Williamson.
