ATFR calls for review of Metro Bus extension plan.
A 20-member ATFR delegation led by Action Committee Chairman Ayub Mayo was talking to Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Engineer Sohail Lashari here at LCCI, where the Chamber's Executive Committee Member Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam and Waqar Ahmad Mian were also present.
The ATFR delegation suggested the government to construct a flyover instead of demolishing the business infrastructures, adding that if their demands were not met, they would observe a complete strike on January 17 against the project.
While, the LCCI President said that government should consult the stakeholders on all development projects that would not only encourage the local businesses but also attract foreign investment. He also called for a compensation policy for affectees of Metro Bus Expansion Project before its launch.
Lashari assured the delegation that he would request Chief Minister to share the project's master plan with the affectees to remove their apprehensions, as an alternate plan of construction of flyover could be considered.
The LCCI President said the business community highly appreciated Punjab government for putting in untiring efforts to develop infrastructure in the province and bringing it at par with international cities in developed world.
