A new survey and report from AT&T (NYSE "T") in cooperation with the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) reportedly shows that a majority of corporate executives now predict that they will implement voice over Internet protocol (VoIP).
Cathy Martine, the senior vice president of Internet telephony at AT&T, has said that the question is not if but when VoIP will be a new standard for voice traffic.
The survey reportedly showed that of the senior executives asked, 43% report that they are currently using, testing or planning to implement VoIP within the next two years. A further 18% said they believe they will implement it in the long term.
