 AT&T RECEIVES $64.7-MILLION NAVY CONTRACT MODIFICATION
 GREENSBORO, N.C., Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Navy has awarded AT&T Federal Systems here a $64.7-million increase in its Structural Acoustics Program contract.
 Negotiated with the Office of Naval Research, the contract modification increases the total contract to $103.4 million, funding AT&T's structural acoustics research and development effort through September 1993.
 AT&T began work on the contract under the Advanced Submarine Technology Program for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in 1988.
 Work will continue at AT&T Bell Laboratories facilities in Arlington, Va., and Whippany, N.J., and at facilities of major subcontractors in Massachusetts, New York and California.
